Robert Archer

Ms. Smith is excited to be returning to the KHS as Head Theatre Department! She has achieved an Associates of Fine Arts degree from Houston Community College and her Bachelor of Fine Arts - Theatre Production degree from the University of Houston in 2011. During her education years, she has worked with Houston Grand Opera, Bayou City Concerts Musicals, and various community theatre programs. She lead a theatre camp for 3 years with the University of Houston. Recently, she completed 4 seasons at the Alley Theatre as a staff stage management associate where she found her true purpose of combining her passion for theatre and educating youth. Ms. Smith is beyond grateful to return to the school district where she graduated high school (Elkins), it all comes full circle! This year will be filled with lots of productive work, energy, and laughs!!

Mr. Archer is so excited to be at KHS for his fifth year of challenging and thought provoking Theatre!​ Archer graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011 with an emphasis in Acting and Directing. He has also studied abroad at Rose Bruford College in London, England and at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona, Spain. While abroad he gained an exciting and thorough knowledge of contemporary European Theatre Arts.  He has worked professionally in the Houston theatre community since graduation. Archer also teaches as a Workshop Artist for various programs, focusing on devising, movement, and character authenticity. Archer started his journey in public education 7 years ago and continues to love what he does to this day.
